VPN not showing in 'Networks" and I have no way to connect

I can't see my VPN in the connections pane of Windows 8.1 Pro, but I can see the connections in the "change adapter settings" I have no way to connect to my VPN.

EDIT: User can connect and disconnect to the VPN using rasphone.pbk

I ran the DISM and I get an error code of 0x800f0906.

Also my computer is on a domain, all of them are.

Here is the part of the DISM log. DISM LOG

Hi,

Please try to run following commands one by one and then DISM again to repair corrupted system image:

net stop wuauserv
cd %systemroot%\SoftwareDistribution
ren Download Download.old
net start wuauserv
net stop bits
net start bits
net stop cryptsvc
cd %systemroot%\system32
ren catroot2 catroot2old
net start cryptsvc

If DISM fail to repair corrupted system image or it encounter the error again, please run System file checker to do further troubleshooting:

Run cmd as admin:

SFC /SCANNOW

Can you see VPN connect on connection pane?

If not or you get message that some corrupted files failed to repair, post back the cbs.log here for our research.

Found my own solution.

Create a new dummy VPN connection along side existing ones. It will "refresh" the VPN connections pane and reveal those VPN connections.

You can delete the dummy one.
